Northamptonshire Decorative and Fine Arts Society

Welcome

The Northamptonshire Decorative and Fine Arts Society (Northants DFAS) is a friendly group of individuals interested in the Arts. We organise a programme of monthly evening lectures which are held in the Cripps Hall, Northampton.

We also arrange several visits throughout the year to art exhibitions, houses and places of interest.

We currently have a membership of over 300 but always welcome new members. Unlike many societies we do not have a waiting list, as we are fortunate to have such a large venue. Guests are always very welcome at our lectures.

The National Association of Decorative & Fine Arts Societies

The Northants DFAS is a member of The National Association of Decorative & Fine Arts Societies (NADFAS). This was launched in 1968 by Patricia Fay with eleven societies. It now has expanded to over 330 societies in the UK, 9 in Europe, 28 in Australia and 2 in New Zealand. There are 90,000 members worldwide. NADFAS works towards promoting and preserving the Arts.
